Good fleet management requires access to a great lineup of reliable vehicles for your business, whether they be cutaway chassis, vans, heavy-duty vehicles, or medium-duty trucks. If you require a hard-working box truck for sale, essentially with a cutaway chassis cab, then the Ford Econoline is what you are going to want to shop for. The E-350, in particular, is what your business may need because you’re likely going to want something with a versatile selection of upfitting equipment, too. When it comes to the E-350, it’s the sort of vehicle that ensures that your fleet can be outfitted with exactly what you need.

From emergency services to lawn care and from construction to transportation, you want to make sure that what you have works for what you need it for. So, when it comes to the 2025 model year E-350, you’re probably curious and excited to know what sort of upfitting options it has available for your business. Well, let’s run through the basics, some of the accessories, and packages, starting with the specs.

2025 E-350 Spec s

The basic specs for the E-350 feature a standard 7.3-liter V8 that makes up to 325 hp at 450 lb-ft of torque. The E-350 also comes standard with a six-speed automatic Ford TorqShift transmission featuring overdrive functionality and Tow Haul mode. The TorqShift is designed to handle all of the torque generated from the engine for the kind of heavy loads and difficult hauling tasks that you have in mind for the E-350 cutaway, with a total towing capacity of up to 10,000 lbs and a max payload of 7,210 lbs when properly equipped. The GVWR capacities range from 11,500 lbs to 12,500 lbs. You have a standard 40-gallon fuel tank, 210 amp alternator, and optional single rear-wheel drive or dual-rear wheel drive options. So, the E-350 can be configured in a number of ways based on what you need for your fleet.

2025 E-350 Upfit Options

There are several major upfit configurations you can have installed for the E-350, including a basic service box, a shuttle box, a bus body, a Class C motorhome body, and an emergency services body. Each of these gives you an option to customize and personalize the E-350 based on your specific needs, whether it be tradecraft, utility, transportation, or passenger services. These features also include various accessories you can utilize to help bring the E-350 up to the standards that you need for your fleet.

Each of the various types of upfit packages for the E-350 has its own accessories that you can use for the E-350. There are accessories for the cargo box, lifts and ramps for the utility variants, as well as different types of seating, bulkheads, and partitions for the various upfit packages. They can be combined, customized, or selected based specifically on what you need, including compatibility with the switches and integration system for electronic devices, network equipment, refrigeration devices, generators, and even cranes.

Emergency Services Upfit Package

The Ambulance Prep Package for emergency services is built for the E-350 cutaway, featuring a limited slip axle, badging, license plate bracket, two exhaust heat shields mounted in the middle of the chassis, a 240 amp alternator, and two 78 amp-hr heavy-duty batteries. The additional spare tire and wheel add to the value of the package, along with the auxiliary heater and air conditioning connector package and auxiliary fuel port. Telescoping trailer tow mirrors with manual adjustments also come standard. You can also invest in custom badging and decals depending on what you need the vehicle for or as part of the company’s fleet.

Multifunction School Activity Upfit Package

The multifunction school activity bus prep package is designed for passenger transport and childcare services. This includes transportation for an average of 10 or more passengers and is designed with banded tinted front-door glass and a high-back driver seat; it does remove the right-hand side passenger seat in place of the door and the step to access the walkway to the passenger seats. The multifunction school package does feature frame pucks and a 40-gallon fuel tank, in addition to the other passenger seats in the rear. If you have the school body installed, there is also a rear door for access, and it is designed for the dual-rear-wheel configuration of the E-350.

School Bus Upfit Package

If you need a more specific school bus package for your fleet, there is the Type A school bus upfit prep package for the E-350 cutaway chassis, featuring the left-side door and the same banded front-door tinted glass and frame pucks as the multifunction school activity package. The right-hand side seat, pedestal, and safety belt system, along with the B-pillar and scuff plate, are also removed in the school bus upfit package. However, the big difference between this package and the multifunction package is that this is designed specifically with the yellow school bus template in mind for kids, whereas the multifunction school activity upfit package is designed for more general use, which could be for school services for colleges, adult services, or social services.

Shuttle Bus Upfit Package

For shuttle bus services, the Shuttle Bus Upfit Prep Package is a perfect solution for fleet services. The shuttle bus package provides support and access for multiple passengers, perfect for airport shuttles, sporting events, organizational events, or weddings. This available package can also be customized around the seating arrangements suited for your business, whether you need multiple rows or just a few or whether you’re more focused on luxury convenience or passenger space. The shuttle bus package features the High-Series Exterior Upgrade Package as part of its offering, along with an altered front fascia featuring a chrome bumper and grille. You have manual pedestals, power door locks and windows, an engine block heater, frame pucks, and a front license plate bracket as part of the prep package.

Motorhome Upfit Package

The motorhome upfit prep package is designed for Class C motorhome bodies. This can bring the gross vehicle weight rating up to 14,500 lbs and enables the E-350 to support a gross combined weight rating of 22,000 lbs. This upfit package for the E-350 features the high-series exterior upgrade package with the front chrome bumper and grille, along with a fixed antenna, cruise control, manual pedestals, and power door locks and windows. This enables you to attach different yet compatible motorhome bodies to the E-350, perhaps for motorhome rental services or travel and transportation businesses.
